Job summary

Novaspect, Inc. is seeking a Reliability Specialist to join our customer-focused team in Escanaba, MI. You will apply predictive technologies, set up vibration routes, and balance rotating equipment while maintaining data and reporting for reliability contracts.

This role requires travel to customer sites within our territory and collaboration with service teams. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience with predictive technologies, and a CAT II Vibration Analysis Certification

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Experience with multiple predictive technologies preferred.
  • CAT II Vibration Analysis Certification or equivalent certifications required.
  • Knowledge of machinery fundamentals, fits and tolerances, and safety regulations.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and concise reports on repairs and urgency for problems identified.
  • Develop and maintain routine and advanced data acquisition techniques (spectral, time waveform, Peakvue).
  • Provide setup on vibration routes for routine monitoring and maintain database.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge in balancing rotating equipment and laser alignment.
  • Plan, schedule and manage travel, appointments, and activities independently.
  • Respond to customer requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide training to reliability technicians.
  • Perform other duties as required.

The successful candidate will apply and implement predictive technologies for the successful execution of reliability service contracts.## **Reliability Specialist Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Providing analysis and concise reports on recommendations for repairs and urgency for problems identified* Developing and maintain working knowledge of routine and advanced data acquisition techniques, such as knowledge in spectral, time waveform, and Peakvue analysis* Providing setup on vibration routes for routine monitoring on diverse plant equipment and provide database maintenance on a regular and consistent basis* Developing and maintain advanced knowledge and experience in balancing rotating equipment and laser alignment on complex machine trains* Planning, scheduling and managing travel, appointments, and activities independently* Responding to customer requests in a timely and professional manner* Making difficult decisions independently in ambiguous situations* Providing training to reliability technicians* Traveling to customer sites throughout Novaspect's territory, Novaspect branch offices, and other locations as required* Perform other duties as required**Reliability Specialist Education and/or Experience:*** High school diploma required* Experience with multiple predictive technologies preferred* Experience with Asset Management/Reliability programs and associated software & service programs preferred* CAT II Vibration Analysis Certification or equivalent certifications required**Reliability Specialist Additional Requirements:*** Knowledge of machinery fundamentals, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, etc.* Working knowledge in Microsoft Suite* Detailed knowledge of general mechanical fundamentals, such as fits and tolerances* Strong understanding of electro-mechanical fundamentals* Excellent verbal communication skills* Exceptional team player with a solution focus* Ability to comply with customer site safety regulations* Availability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours**Reliability Specialist Physical Requirements:*** Ability to lift up to 50lbs* Ability of hands to grasp and manipulate small objects/tools* Ability to work with hand tools* Ability to work at heights* Ability to stoop, crawl and crouch while working on equipment on hands and knees* Ability to work in confined spaces* Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours per day* Ability to work in a loud industrial environment* Comfortable working around industrial equipment with exposed moving parts* Ability to climb stairs with up to 20lbs* Ability to climb a 20ft+ ladder with equipment* Ability to drive on average 3-4 hours at a time* Ability to drive 8 hours as needed in a day – although not typical* Ability to work in high and cold temperature environments for extended hours* Ability to have a face free from hair on occasions when needing to wear a respirator* Ability to work on a computer for an extended period**Reliability Specialist Pay:*** Salary Range: $70,000-$105,000* Bonus potential: 5%**Reliability Specialist Benefits:**Recognized with a Top Employee Benefit Plan Award, below you will find our outstanding total rewards package when you join our team including:* Generous paid time off; starting at 15 vacation days, 10 holidays, and 10 days of Paid Sick & Safety Time (PSST)* 401K with 6% company match* Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)* Excellent health & wellness benefits* Student debt & tuition reimbursement* Referral bonus**Who We Are:**Novaspect, Inc., is an employee-owned company that engineers, sells, and services industrial process controls.
