Job summary

Novaspect, Inc., an Emerson Impact Partner, is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Technician to join our customer-oriented team. This on-site role requires traveling to customer sites and applying mechanical aptitude to ensure predictive and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities include developing mechanical knowledge, establishing relationships with customers, supporting reliability specialists, setting up vibration sensors, and providing high-quality service while traveling across

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work in industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with vibration analysis and predictive technologies preferred.
  • Experience in industrial/manufacturing settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining mechanical and industry knowledge across rotating machinery, electrical assets, instrumentation and controls.
  • Establishing and growing business relationships with customers.
  • Traveling to customer sites and providing on-site maintenance and services.
  • Setting up wireless vibration sensors with Hart field communicator.
  • Supporting short notice call-out service for emergency balancing and alignments.
  • Working with Reliability Specialist to deliver high-quality service across territory.

Novaspect, Inc., an Emerson Impact Partner, the global leader of automation systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for a full-time Maintenance Reliability Technician to join our dynamic, customer-oriented team. We need someone who can maintain our Novaspect identity while traveling and interacting with customers on site. The successful candidate will apply and implement their mechanical aptitude to ensure predictive and preventative maintenance.Reliability Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Developing and maintaining industry and mechanical knowledge and awareness, including rotating machinery, fixed assets, electrical assets, instrumentation and controls.Establishing and growing business relationships with the customerDeveloping and maintaining a general understanding of the customer's business, including their products and processes, markets served, and events that influence the customer's profitsActing as a hands-on support role for Novaspect Reliability SpecialistSupporting short notice call out service work to for emergency machinery balancing and precision alignmentsSetting up wireless vibration sensors with Hart field communicatorCommunicating promptly and clearly with customers, Novaspect Lead Reliability Specialist, and all internal team membersProviding services of uncompromised quality to the customerTraveling to customer sites throughout Novaspect's territory, Novaspect branch offices, and other locations as requiredPerform other duties as requiredReliability Technician Education and/or Experience:High School Diploma required; technical degree or certification in instrumentation, electrical, or related field preferredFamiliarity of basic vibration analysis capabilities and other predictive technologies preferredExperience with Reliability and basic knowledge of the Emerson/Emerson Process Management offeringBasic understanding of mechanical and industrial systems, with exposure to rotating equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation, and automation environments;Exposure to process instrumentation, calibration, and troubleshootingExperience in industrial or manufacturing settings preferredAvailability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hoursReliability Technician Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50lbsAbility of hands to grasp and manipulate small objects/toolsAbility to work with hand toolsAbility to work at heightsAbility to stoop, crawl and crouch while working on equipment on hands and kneesAbility to work in confined spacesAbility to work on your feet for 8 hours per dayAbility to work in a loud industrial environmentComfortable working around industrial equipment with exposed moving partsAbility to climb stairs with up to 20lbsAbility to climb a 20ft. ladder with equipmentAbility to drive on average 3-4 hours at a timeAbility to drive 8 hours as needed in a day – although not typicalAbility to work in high and cold temperature environments for extended hoursAbility to have a face free from hair on occasions when needing to wear a respiratorReliability Technician Pay:Hourly Rate: $25 - $34Eligible for overtimeReliability Technician Benefits: Recognized with a Top Employee Benefit Plan Award, below you will find our outstanding total rewards package when you join our team including:Generous paid time off; starting at 15 vacation days, 10 holidays, and 10 days of Paid Sick & Safety Time (PSST)401K with 6% company matchEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Excellent health & wellness benefitsStudent debt & tuition reimbursementReferral bonusWho We Are: Novaspect, Inc., is an employee-owned company that engineers, sells, and services industrial process controls.
