Job summary

Trinseo is seeking an Industrial Mechanic - Union for our Bristol, PA facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of piping, pumps, and tank systems on production lines, with an emphasis on safety and reliability.

The starting rate is $48.75 per hour. The position requires climbable ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating fork lifts as part of the daily duties, including after-hours emergency support when needed.

Qualifications

• Proficient in taking/determining dimensions, angles, and radii of piping systems.
• Experience troubleshooting pumps and mechanical seals in manufacturing equipment.
• Desirable rigging experience and machinery installation.
• Experience with metal cutting techniques: grinding, oxygen cutting, pipe cutting.
• Proficient with rotary and hand tools.
• Knowledge of pipe schedules, materials, fittings, pressure ratings, valve classes.
• Interpreting drawings and isometrics.
• Ability to assemble and repair threaded pipe and accessories.
• Minimum 5 years in chemical industry preferred.
• Basic MS Office skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work procedures for piping/mechanical tasks and operate tools.
• Relay technical information to team and supervisor.
• Determine materials and parts list for tasks.
• Operate forklift as required.
• Maintain good housekeeping of work areas.
• Support Behavior Based Safety observations.
• Support ISO 9001 and OSHAS 18001 management systems.
• Climb ladders, work outdoors in all weather, lift up to 50 lbs, wear PPE including SCBA.
• Work on an 8-hour shift schedule with after-hours emergency support.
