Trinseo is seeking an Industrial Mechanic - Union for our Bristol, PA facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of piping, pumps, and tank systems on production lines, with an emphasis on safety and reliability.

The starting rate is $48.75 per hour. The position requires climbable ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating fork lifts as part of the daily duties, including after-hours emergency support when needed.

Qualifications

• Proficient in taking/determining dimensions, angles, and radii of piping systems.
• Experience troubleshooting pumps and mechanical seals in manufacturing equipment.
• Desirable rigging experience and machinery installation.
• Experience with metal cutting techniques: grinding, oxygen cutting, pipe cutting.
• Proficient with rotary and hand tools.
• Knowledge of pipe schedules, materials, fittings, pressure ratings, valve classes.
• Interpreting drawings and isometrics.
• Ability to assemble and repair threaded pipe and accessories.
• Minimum 5 years in chemical industry preferred.
• Basic MS Office skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask with high attention to detail.

Industrial Mechanic - Union

Overview

Reliability Mechanic is responsible for problem troubleshoot and repair execution-based work schedule, related with piping, plumbing, structure's, supports and tank systems within the facilities. Reliability mechanics are also responsible for the execution of mechanical tasks through the production lines.

This position will be located in Bristol, PA and reports to the Reliability Leader. The starting rate of this position is $48.75/hr.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work procedures in the operation of tools and equipment proper of their duties as pipe fitter/mechanic.
• Relays pertinent technical information to co-workers and supervisor.
• Determine list of materials and parts to execute the work.
• Drives a forklift.
• Maintains good housekeeping of work areas.
• Supports Behavior Based Safety process by performing observations.
• Supports Loss Control policy, ISO 9001 and OSHAS 18001 management systems.
• Will climb ladders and work outside in all weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE including SCBA respirator.
• Will work on a 8 hour shift schedule (requires emergency plant support after hours).

Qualifications

• Pro-skill to take and determine dimensions, angles and radios of piping systems.
• Experience troubleshooting pumps, mechanical seals and manufacturing equipment's.
• Desirable experience with rigging and installing machinery.
• Experience using different metal cut techniques like grinder disc, oxygen cut, pipe cutter, etc.
• Pro-efficient using rotary tools and hand tools.
• Good knowledge identifying pipe schedule and material, fitting types and pressure rates, valve class, types and materials.
• Interpretation of drawings & isometrics.
• Good skills to work, built and repair threaded pipe and accessories
• HS Diploma or GED is required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical industry preferred
• Basic skills in MS Office and excellent interpersonal skills are expected
• Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy is key to success in this role
