Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician C for the day shift at our Chatsworth, GA plant. The role focuses on reliable maintenance of mechanical systems, power transmission, conveyance, and related equipment to support safe, efficient production.

The ideal candidate will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, read schematics, and coordinate with leaders to improve processes and reliability on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• Safety practices include LOTO, confined space, PPE, PIT, fall protection, hoisting & rigging, hot work.
• Mathematical abilities and measurement techniques are required for maintenance tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical schematics and sketches.
• Identify and select the correct hand/tools for tasks.
• Proper lubrication handling and storage procedures.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance tasks with focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Maintain and repair mechanical systems and conveyance/equipment to high performance levels.
• Troubleshoot equipment and communicate findings to leadership.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans and collect PdM data.
• Assist other technicians and leads in installation/removal of mechanical systems.
