Apple Inc. in Seattle is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineering Manager to lead a production engineering team responsible for the availability, performance, and resiliency of Apple’s global network services.

You will partner with software, infrastructure, and security teams to define SLIs/SLOs, drive automation, and mentor engineers while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

10+ years in software, systems, or infrastructure engineering.
6+ years in technical leadership with people management.
Experience designing and operating highly available distributed systems.
Hands-on reliability/SRE or large-scale production operations experience.

Responsibilities

Define and execute reliability vision, strategy, and roadmap for Apple's cloud networking platforms.
Lead day-to-day reliability initiatives with focus on operational outcomes.
Establish and own SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets; use metrics to guide decisions.
Collaborate with software, infrastructure, and security teams to design fault-tolerant systems.
Promote automation and faster delivery through tooling, tests, and self-healing systems.
Mentor engineers through one-on-ones, career planning, and feedback.
Partner with recruiting to hire top reliability talent.
Advocate for reliability across multiple product and platform teams.
