Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join ASE/SRE in Seattle. You will build and maintain highly available services such as iCloud components, collaborating with product teams to design resilient infrastructure and automate operations.

This role requires 5+ years in SRE/DevOps, strong Linux and networking knowledge, and fluency in Java, Python, or Go. Expect on-call rotations, scale testing, disaster recovery exercises, and a culture of ownership.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS or equivalent with 5+ years experience.
• Strong Linux, networking fundamentals.
• Fluency in Java, Python, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Engage with product teams to design resilient, scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Operate, monitor, and triage production and non-production environments.
• Collaborate on code, infrastructure design reviews, and process improvements
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve reliability, security, and performance.
• Develop and implement automation to provision, configure, deploy, and monitor services.
• Participate in an oncall rotation providing hands‑on support during incidents.
• Contribute to capacity planning, scale testing, and disaster recovery exercises
• Approach operational problems with a software engineering mindset.
