Job summary

MKS Power Solutions is seeking a Reliability Engineering Co‑op in New York to partner with Reliability and NPI teams, supporting engineering activities and reporting to the Director of Reliability Engineering.

The 3‑month internship begins January 2027, offering meaningful work, exposure to multiple divisions, and opportunities to learn about power supplies for semiconductor manufacturing. Candidates should be pursuing an EE or CE degree and have hands-on electronics experience.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's Degree program for Electrical or Computer Engineering or relevant majors.
• Must understand electronics and semiconductor devices, including analog and digital circuits.
• Experience reading circuit schematics and datasheets.
• Hands on experience with circuit boards and soldering techniques.
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments (multimeters, scopes, generators, analyzers).
• Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and problem solving through engineering methods.
• Qualified candidates should be US Persons.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities with Reliability and NPI teams.
• Assist in design efforts for state‑of‑the‑art power supplies.
• Research reliability issues and perform failure analysis of components and PCB subassemblies.
• Characterize components and verify electrical performance against specs.
• Design and build fixtures for reliability testing.
