MKS Instruments is seeking a Principal Reliability Engineer to support Power Solutions reliability programs, including design for reliability and advanced testing. You will interface across engineering and manufacturing to drive reliability improvements and manage field and test data to meet customer objectives.

The role requires at least 8 years in reliability engineering for electronic systems, experience with DFx, HALT/HASS/ALT, and strong communication skills. Travel up to 5% is anticipated.

Competenze

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field; M.S. preferred.
• 8+ years reliability engineering experience in electronic systems or components.
• Experience with failure analysis techniques and physics of failure.
• Familiarity with reliability modeling tools and data analysis methods.
• Willingness to travel ~5%.

Mansioni

• Develop and implement reliability plans for new Power Solutions products.
• Provide technical support throughout product life cycle and sustaining activities.
• Interface with design engineering to establish reliability testing conditions.
• Lead product qualification testing and manage reliability labs and predictions (MTBF).
• Perform root cause analysis for failures in testing or field.
• Contribute to design reviews focusing on reliability concerns and wear-out modes.
• Generate reliability reports for internal and external customers.
