Job summary

MKS Instruments in Andover, MA offers a 3-month+ undergraduate intern/co-op in the Power Solutions engineering group. You will work with engineers on new product development, report to the Engineering Manager, and gain exposure to multiple divisions within the business.

Responsibilities include automating tests, data analysis, high power RF system work, and documentation support. Preferred candidates are pursuing relevant engineering degrees with lab experience and knowledge of MATLAB, Python,

Qualifications

• Be a rising junior or senior enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or relevant majors.
• Experience using lab equipment is desired.
• Preferred: MATLAB or other advanced data analysis software.
• Preferred: Python or other programming language.
• Preferred: SPICE or other electrical simulation software.

Responsibilities

• Automating engineering tests.
• Analyzing data to help solve complex problems.
• Working hands-on with high power RF systems.
• Using a variety of test equipment.
• Assisting in documentation creation and markup.
• Review system design specifications and help determine compliance with these specifications.
