Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Reliability Engineer to lead standardized maintenance strategies across plants and to train reliability personnel on KPIs. You will analyze asset health, perform RCA, and optimize preventive maintenance while utilizing SAP and CMMS for data-driven decisions.

The role requires 2+ years of engineering experience, a related degree, and up to 50% travel. Office-based position with relocation support and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and 2+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of engineering principles related to food processing and meat industry preferred.
• Proficient in SAP and CMMS; MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate standardized maintenance and reliability strategies across plants.
• Train and coach plant reliability personnel on KPIs.
• Oversee asset health, criticality analysis, RCA, and preventive maintenance.
• Use CMMS/SAP for data analysis and forecast cost of ownership.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through improved reliability.
