Job summary

G-3 Chickadee in Houston, TX is seeking a Reliability Engineer - Mechanical to drive long-term equipment reliability across the chemical facility. You will lead RCFA, RAPs, and predictive maintenance initiatives to minimize unplanned downtime.

You will analyze KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, OEE), develop action plans, and collaborate across operations, maintenance, and engineering to meet AOP targets. A strong background in TPM/lean is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or closely related field.
• Master's degree in mechanical/electrical/engineering technology preferred.
• 3+ years in reliability engineering.
• 2–3 years focused on maintenance reliability in manufacturing preferred.
• RCM certification or reliability training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Reliability Action Planning (RAP) and RCFA processes to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Develop and sustain predictive maintenance programs using PdM technologies (vibration, IR, oil, ultrasound).
• Analyze KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, OEE) and apply FI methods to close gaps.
• Investigate significant and catastrophic failures and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Collaborate across operations, maintenance, and engineering to align with AOP targets.
