Job summary
Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates is seeking a Reliability Engineer to lead maintenance strategy development for both new and existing equipment. The role focuses on eliminating maintenance losses through PM optimization, RCAs, and predictive tools such as vibration and thermography.
The engineer will train technical staff, drive proactive maintenance, and coordinate with planners to minimize downtime while ensuring asset reliability and cost control across the site.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline.
- 10 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience applying maintenance strategies to reduce losses and improve reliability.
- Ability to analyze data to identify root causes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Define, design, and refine maintenance strategies for new and existing equipment.
- Lead reliability improvement programs (PM optimization, RCM, RCA, FMEA).
- Interpret SAP PM data to set priorities and action lists.
- Coordinate PM/PdM services and inspections to minimize downtime.
- Train and coach maintenance staff in advanced tools and techniques.
- Identify, analyze, and reduce chronic equipment failures and MTTR.
