Job summary

Mars Incorporated seeks a Reliability Engineer to lead maintenance improvements and the development of proactive strategies for both new and existing equipment. You will train technicians in advanced tools and drive results through data-driven analysis and robust PM strategies.

The role requires guiding cross-functional teams, applying RCM, FMEA, and predictive maintenance methods, and delivering cost-effective reliability improvements across high-speed packaging lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or 10 years of related manufacturing experience.
• Experience developing effective maintenance strategies to reduce technical losses in manufacturing site.
• Experience using data to find the root cause of complex problems.
• Solid track record of high-speed packaging and high-volume processing equipment management.
• Knowledge and experience with advanced maintenance management practices is preferred.
• Contemporary leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects within budget limits.
• Strong communication.
• Expert user in Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, develop, monitor and refine maintenance strategies for new and existing equipment.
• Decide on Run-To-Failure when appropriate.
• Guide maintenance teams to ensure reliability across processes and facilities.
• Develop technical competency in advanced maintenance technologies.
• Train and coach maintenance staff in improvement tools.
• Analyze failure data to prioritize and plan maintenance actions.
• Coordinate PM/PdM services with planners/schedulers and ensure timely execution.
• Reduce maintenance costs while protecting asset life and reliability.
• Develop solutions to repetitive failures and chronic equipment problems.
• Provide technical advice to site owners and lead improvement programs.
