Job summary
Mars is seeking a Maintenance Technician to lead on the production floor, building Progressive Maintenance capability and providing technical support to achieve safety, quality and efficiency targets.
The role requires root-cause problem solving, strong communication of priorities, and collaboration across shifts while maintaining equipment and improving line reliability within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in facility maintenance.
- Good knowledge of plant flow, operation and utilities.
- Excellent knowledge of hand tool application, operation and repair; basic machine tools.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits (AC/DC, single/polyphase, low/high voltage) and related equipment.
- Familiar with Safety, Quality and CMMS programs and procedures.
- Basic math, reading and writing skills.
Responsibilities
- Analyze condition, troubleshoot failures, repair and perform preventive/predictive maintenance on production equipment, buildings and utilities.
- Observe Lockout/Tagout and safety procedures.
- Respond to safety issues per work orders.
- Plan and coordinate work by associates, contractors or self.
- Prioritize and manage work to respond to emergencies and diagnose faults quickly.
