Job summary

Duquesne Light Company is seeking a Reliability Engineer to support the Operations Center and ensure system reliability across transmission and distribution. The role includes preparing technical reports, maintaining models, and assisting in emergency planning and system restoration.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with SQL and Python
• Experience with SCADA OMS State Estimator Modeling
• ABET-accredited master degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Support Operations Center to ensure system reliability
• Prepare technical reports for transmission and distribution planning
• Maintain distribution circuit metrics and investigate reliability complaints
• Conduct day-ahead and short-term reliability studies
• Collaborate with planning, protection and compliance teams
• Maintain EMS models and software with Transmission Planning/SCADA
• Develop operating guides to ensure reliability
• Support emergency plans and system restoration efforts
• Participate in storm roles and internal/external committees
• Perform other duties as assigned
