Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join the Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance team. You will work with systems engineering to verify safety and reliability requirements for launch vehicles, spacecraft, and related systems.

As part of a small, mission-driven team, you will develop reliability processes, perform FMEA/FMECA, fault tree analyses, and build reliability models to guide design decisions.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in aerospace engineering or related field.
• Experience with FMECA and Fault Tree Analysis.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and diagrams.
• Strong safety and mission assurance fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical info to non-technical partners.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliability processes for launch vehicles, spacecraft, and supporting systems.
• Perform FMEA/FMECA, fault tree analysis, reliability allocations.
• Create reliability block diagrams and hazard analyses.
• Support design improvements to minimize risk and increase mission success.
• Collaborate with systems engineering teams to verify safety/reliability requirements.
