Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking a qualified reliability engineer to decompose requirements and guide design, test, and flight reliability across space systems. You will collaborate with design and operations engineers, analyze data, and influence maintenance and design improvements. The role requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years in reliability, cross-disciplinary expertise, and ability to read drawings and schematics.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering or other major requiring engineering or mathematical core courses.
• 5+ years' reliability experience in design, operations, or manufacturing.
• Proven cross-disciplinary experience across mechanical, fluid, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Knowledge of quality and configuration management systems.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible immigrant.

Responsibilities

• Identify and decompose reliability requirements.
• Perform reliability predictions on mechanical and electrical components.
• Conduct system-level reliability assessments.
• Perform reliability/life test design and reliability growth modelling.
