Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join the Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance team. You will develop reliability processes for launch vehicles, spacecraft, and supporting systems, and verify safety and reliability requirements through analysis or testing.

You will perform FMECA, fault tree analysis, reliability allocations, and reliability predictions, while identifying design improvements to minimize risk and increase mission success.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in aerospace engineering or related field.
• Experience with FMECA and Fault Tree Analysis.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, fluid schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
• Strong safety and mission assurance fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliability engineering processes and products for launch vehicles and spacecraft.
• Verify compliance with safety and reliability requirements via analysis or test.
• Perform FMEA/FMECA, fault tree analysis, reliability allocations.
• Identify areas of opportunity for design improvements to minimize risk.
• Collaborate with systems engineering teams to improve reliability.
