Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join the Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance team, developing reliability processes for launch vehicles, spacecraft, and supporting systems. You will verify compliance with safety and reliability requirements through analysis or test and collaborate with systems engineering.

Ideal candidates have a BS in aerospace engineering, experience with FMECA/FTA, and strong communication skills to influence safety culture across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• BS in aerospace engineering or related field.
• Experience with reliability analyses including FMECA and FTA.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Strong safety and mission assurance fundamentals.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships across engineering disciplines and provide feedback on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliability engineering processes for launch vehicles, spacecraft, and supporting systems.
• Verify compliance with safety and reliability requirements by analysis or test.
• Assess reliability allocations, perform fault tree analysis, and create hazard analyses.
• Conduct FMEA/FMECA and reliability test design where applicable.
• Identify design improvements to reduce risk and increase mission success.
