Job summary
Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Reliability Engineer for the Sierrita operations, located near Tucson, AZ. You will review and improve reliability projects, collaborate with Operations and Maintenance, and ensure proper documentation and regulatory awareness.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 3 years of related experience, or Master's with 2 years.
- Knowledge in probability and statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of Reliability Engineering.
- Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Responsibilities
- Review, investigate, and develop recommendations for Reliability Engineering projects.
- Utilize new technology to upgrade safety, efficiencies, cost controls and environmental protection with minimal supervision.
- Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance and other Engineering staff to improve safety and efficiency.
- Coordinate project activities to improve equipment maintenance availability and KPIs.
- Ensure documentation for assigned projects is prepared and reviewed for accuracy.
- Participate in small to medium site construction, expansion or modification projects.
- Administer contracts with vendors for services and equipment.
- Develop working knowledge of local, state and federal regulations relevant to the assignment.
- Perform other duties as required.
