Job summary

MiniMed seeks a Reliability Engineer II to join on-site in Northridge, CA. You will develop and execute test strategies for insulin therapy systems, simulating real-world home environments to validate patient safety and design quality.

Collaborate with Electrical, Software, Systems, and Mechanical Engineering to develop robust test methods, perform DOE and capability analysis, operate environmental chambers and lab equipment, and contribute to risk management and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience documenting engineering tests, SOPs, and lab notebooks.
• Familiarity with quality systems, design controls, and cGMP in medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies for a family of insulin therapy systems.
• Create test methods to exercise products in simulated home environments.
• Apply DOE, hypothesis testing, regression, and capability analysis for validation.
• Operate environmental chambers, signal generators, LabVIEW, and Instrons.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Software, Systems, and Mechanical Engineering teams.
• Contribute to risk management deliverables and failure analyses.
