Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Reliability Engineer II to design, implement, and monitor condition-based maintenance programs for critical plant equipment. You will lead reliability initiatives and guide teams to improve equipment availability.

Experience with vibration analysis, FMEA, and PM/routine development is preferred. A Mechanical Engineering background and 0–3 years in heavy manufacturing are ideal; travel is minimal.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 0–3 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred.
  • FFT analysis of vibration spectra experience preferred.
  • Experience with FMEA and practical risk assessment.
  • NDT inspection techniques are preferred.
  • Ability to work with instrumentation, process controls, motors, starters, and VFDs.

Responsibilities

  • Create, implement, and monitor CBM programs for plant equipment.
  • Monitor reliability-based systems including vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
  • Develop preventative maintenance routines and BOMs for equipment.
  • Manage PM/PdM programs to ensure optimum equipment availability.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to the reliability team.
  • Perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Responsible for monitoring reliability-based systems, including preventative maintenance systems, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring.
  • Participate in the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for plant equipment.
  • Manage preventative/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, Thermography, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability.
  • Responsible for the preventative maintenance work order system with coordinated execution of area operations and central maintenance teams.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction for the reliability team and plant area teams in a manner consistent with company values and the St. Genevieve Belief Statement and Commitments.
  • Accountable for providing leadership, development, and coaching on individual performance to direct reports to achieve business results.
  • Analyze and eliminate repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA, and similar techniques.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability.
  • Support and guide sustainable improvements in MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of major equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience

Field of Study Preferred:
  • Mechanical Engineering
Required Work Experience:
  • 0–3 years of experience.
  • Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Required Training/Certifications:
  • None specified.
Required Technical Skills:
  • SAP

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Estimated Wage Range: $83,000 - $94,000 annually
Additional Requirements:
  • Experience in FFT analysis of vibration spectra on a range of heavy industrial plant equipment.
  • Experience in the practical application of FMEA.
  • NDT inspection techniques preferred.
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation, process controls, motors, starters, and VFDs preferred.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and properly use Amrize-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators when required. Subject to applicable law, employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
