Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Reliability Engineer I in Bloomsdale, MO to create, implement and monitor Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs. The role focuses on improving equipment reliability and availability on site.

You will monitor vibration data, develop PMRs and BOMs, and lead maintenance teams while collaborating with operations to drive continuous improvement and safety adherence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or years of equivalent experience.
  • Additional Education Preferred: 2 years in related field.
  • Field of Study: Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor CBM programs.
  • Monitor maintenance systems and vibration analysis.
  • Create PMRs and BOMs for plant equipment.
  • Manage maintenance programs for optimum equipment availability.
  • Lead and coach reliability teams.

About the Role

Responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs.

What You'll Accomplish
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Monitor reliability-based systems including preventative maintenance systems, vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
  • Participate in the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bill of materials (BOMs) for plant equipment.
  • Manage the preventative/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, thermography, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability.
  • Handle the preventative maintenance work order system with coordinated execution of the area operations and central maintenance teams.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction for the reliability team and plant area teams in a manner consistent with our values and Commitments.
  • Accountable for providing leadership, development and coaching on individual performance to direct reports to achieve business results.
  • Analyze and eliminate repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA and similar techniques.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability.
  • Support and guide sustainable improvements in MTBF of major equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or years of equivalent experience
  • Additional Education Preferred: 2
  • Field of Study Preferred: Mechanical Engineering
Required Work Experience
  • 0-3 Years. Experience in heavy manufacturing environment is heavily preferred.
Required Training/Certifications
  • Required Technical Skills:
  • SAP, Autocad, Project, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Additional Requirements
  • Experience in FFT analysis of vibration spectra on a range of heavy industrial plant.
  • Experience in practical application of FMEA, NDT inspection techniques preferred.
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation, process controls, motors, starts, VFDs preferred.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved equipment.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
