Job summary

Linde plc in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Maintenance/Reliability Engineer to ensure safe, reliable operation of production facilities and to drive life cycle cost reductions. You will base technical decisions on data analysis and costs, risks, and benefits, partnering with regional teams to develop detailed outage plans and spare parts strategies.

The role requires five years of maintenance/reliability experience in industrial manufacturing, proficiency with P&IDs, CMMS (Infor EAM), and Six Sigma

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance/reliability engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with maintenance, engineering, specification, and design of mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Experience interpreting P&IDs and machinery drawings.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies (RCM, TPM, FMEA, Spare Parts Management, Planning & Scheduling, CMMS optimization).
  • CMRP or CRE certification; CMMS systems experience (Infor EAM).
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and techniques.

  • Ensure safe and reliable operation of production facilities with lowest life cycle cost.
  • Make technical decisions and recommendations based on data analysis and cost/risk evaluations.
  • Partner with regional reliability teams and plant staff to develop outage plans, including parts, coordination, execution, and risk mitigation.
  • Present outage plans to Linde leadership and customer organizations.
  • Develop and maintain spare parts plans, support inventory control and ordering, adjust plans based on operating history and information from the Center of Excellence.
  • Implement best practices for maintenance and parts planning with the Center of Excellence.

Job description

  • You will ensure safe and reliable operation of production facilities while supporting the lowest life cycle cost
  • Make technical decisions and recommendations based on data analysis and evaluation of costs, risks, and benefits
  • Partner with regional reliability teams and plant staff to develop detailed outage plans, including parts requirements, contractor coordination, planned work, outage execution, and risk mitigation
  • Present outage plans to leadership within Linde and customer organizations
  • Further, you will develop and maintain spare parts plans, support inventory control and ordering, and adjust plans based on operating history and information from the Center of Excellence
  • Partner with the Center of Excellence to implement best practices for maintenance and parts planning
  • Develop and support reliability assessments and utilize Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement
  • Support the setup of new facilities and reliability programs and lead identified reliability initiatives
  • You will also assist with critical spare identification and BOM creation for critical assets in the CMMS and other critical systems
  • Support regional reliability teams with preventive maintenance compliance schedules and task plans in the CMMS, including electronics-specific maintenance
  • Perform a combination of office and field work with approximately 25% domestic travel and occasional off-hours accessibility via laptop and cell phone

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance/reliability engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Experience with maintenance, engineering, specification, and design of mechanical equipment and systems, including compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, piping, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Experience interpreting P&IDs and machinery drawings
  • You have knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies, including RCM, TPM, FMEA, Spare Parts Management, Planning & Scheduling, and CMMS optimization
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and presentation skills with the ability to work independently and lead or participate on cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work with minimal supervision, and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements
  • Proficiency with computers and standard software packages, including MS Office and email
  • You have understanding of regulatory and industrial standards and codes, machinery installation, commissioning, and process optimization in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • CMRP or CRE certification
  • Experience with CMMS systems, such as Infor EAM
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and techniques
