Job summary

Linde plc in Michigan is seeking an Operations Technician to safely operate a cryogenic air separation plant and ensure reliable, efficient performance.

You will monitor process performance, adjust operational parameters, perform maintenance and oversee contractors, all while upholding safety policies and reporting incidents promptly. Strong collaboration and accurate documentation are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating production processes in an industrial environment with a focus on safety.
  • Ability to read and revise engineering drawings, including P&IDs and schematics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for effective reporting.
  • Experience safely operating forklifts, cranes, and aerial work platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a cryogenic air separation plant to ensure reliable and efficient performance.
  • Perform and facilitate maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs that uphold safety and equipment integrity.
  • Monitor process performance and adjust operational parameters to maintain reliability, quality, and efficiency.
  • Adhere to company, customer, and regulatory safety work policies while reporting incidents promptly.
  • Collect and interpret trends in equipment and process condition data to strengthen proactive maintenance decisions.
  • Oversee contractors performing routine and non-routine work to ensure safety compliance and quality execution.
  • Execute lock-out tag-out procedures and recommend improvements that enhance process availability and reliability.

  • In addition you should collect and interpret trends in equipment andprocess condition data to strengthen proactive maintenance decisions
  • Additionally oversee contractors performing routine and non‑routine work toensure safety compliance and quality execution
  • Furthermore execute lock‑out tag‑out procedures and recommend improvementsthat enhance process availability and overall reliability

  • Proficiency in mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and industrial instrumentation
  • Familiarity with control systems and HMI platforms, including Wonderware, Rockwell, and Siemens
  • Ability to read and revise engineering drawings, including P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively
  • Experience safely operating forklifts, cranes, and aerial work platforms in accordance with established procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for documentation, reporting, and data management
