Job summary

Talisman is seeking a hands-on engineering professional to support a highly automated manufacturing operation. You will work on-site on the production floor, tackling equipment issues, driving uptime, quality, and efficiency improvements across a global power generation technology platform.

You will lead root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering to optimize automated systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting automated production equipment through troubleshooting, reliability improvement, or process optimization activities.
• Working knowledge of PLC-controlled systems, industrial automation, controls troubleshooting, and production technologies.
• Demonstrated success utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, or Six Sigma.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into equipment and process issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
• Support manufacturing performance initiatives focused on improving throughput, yield, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize automated production systems and manufacturing workflows.
• Utilize production data and operational observations to identify opportunities for process enhancement and operational improvements.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and documentation to support continuous improvement and knowledge transfer across the facility.
