Job summary

Axon seeks a Maintenance Engineer to improve reliability and maintainability of automated manufacturing systems in our Phoenix/Mesa sites. You will own preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies and work with Manufacturing, Controls, and Maintenance teams to reduce downtime and extend asset life.

Responsibilities include RCA for recurring failures, implementing corrective actions, and analyzing downtime trends to optimize maintenance intervals.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3a06 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or automation engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of automated equipment, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
• Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, production-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure automated manufacturing equipment is reliable (robots, conveyors, vision systems).
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures and downtime events.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to eliminate repeat failures and improve MTBF.
• Design, optimize, and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Analyze maintenance data and downtime trends to refine maintenance intervals and task effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Controls Engineers on PLC diagnostics and system upgrades.
• Provide on-floor engineering support during critical downtime events and ramp-ups.
