Job summary

Axon seeks a Manufacturing Test Engineer to design, develop and maintain automated test systems for device manufacturing at the Pinnacle site in Phoenix, AZ. You will collaborate across hardware, firmware, software and manufacturing to scale tests from prototype to mass production.

You will lead test strategy, ensure coverage and reliability, and drive continuous improvement while contributing to safety and quality standards in a fast‑growing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related technical field
• 8+ years leading automated test solutions for electronic hardware
• 5+ years with LabVIEW for test & measurement systems
• 2+ years with NI TestStand for automated test execution
• Ability to read schematics and design/test fixtures
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test systems for manufacturing lines using LabVIEW and TestStand
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams to define test strategies
• Drive continuous improvement in test coverage, reliability, and efficiency
• Support New Product Introduction by scaling test systems from prototype to mass production
• Troubleshoot complex test issues and perform root cause analysis
• Generate detailed test documentation and train technicians
• Create Statements of Work for third‑party integrators
• Perform design reviews, software audits and acceptance testing with integrators
• Collaborate on mechanical fixture design
• Analyze test data, generate reports, and provide feedback to engineering and quality
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
