Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions, a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Reliability Engineer (Product Testing) to lead validation of cable backplane assemblies for AI data centers. Based in Etters, PA or Raleigh, NC, you will design scalable test systems and automate testing to reduce risk and accelerate launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, reliability, manufacturing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in product testing, validation, reliability engineering, or test-system development.
• Experience architecting and commissioning test systems, fixtures, and data acquisition.
• Hands-on with electrical, mechanical, and environmental lab equipment; failure diagnosis.
• Able to read drawings and specifications; travel ~20% to sites and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute reliability strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Define modular test-system architectures with hardware, fixtures, and sensors.
• Design and validate electrical/mechanical test fixtures and automated setups.
• Conduct electrical, mechanical, thermal, vibration, and environmental testing.
• Apply DOE, MSA, and statistical analysis for test capability and repeatability.
• Troubleshoot test systems and lead root-cause investigations.
• Document architectures, test results, risks, and recommendations.
