Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Reliability Engineer to lead product validation for cable backplane assemblies used in AI data centers. Based in Etters, PA or Raleigh, NC, you will define scalable test-system architectures, develop methods, fixtures, and automated test setups, and collaborate across design, manufacturing, quality, and external partners.

You will perform electrical, mechanical, thermal, vibration, and environmental tests,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in product testing, validation, or test-system development.
• Experience architecting test systems, fixtures, and data-acquisition integration.
• Hands-on with electrical, mechanical, and environmental lab equipment; ability to diagnose failures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute reliability and validation strategies across the product life cycle.
• Define modular test-system architectures including hardware, fixtures, instrumentation and data acquisition.
• Design, build, commission, and validate electrical and mechanical test fixtures and automated setups.
• Conduct electrical, mechanical, thermal, vibration, shock, and environmental testing.
• Apply DOE, MSA, Gage R&R, and statistical analysis for capability and repeatability.
• Troubleshoot test systems and perform root-cause analyses for failures.
• Document architectures, procedures, results, risks and recommendations.
