Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Reliability Engineer to develop and execute reliability and qualification test plans for AI-scale cable assemblies, including thermal cycling, THB, vibration, and durability tests.

You will lead complex failure analyses, apply 8D/5-Why/Fishbone methods, build life models (Weibull, Arrhenius), and oversee FRACAS data to identify risks and improve product reliability in high-speed interconnects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of reliability engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of high-speed electrical performance and degradation over time.
• Hands-on mechanical and environmental testing experience.
• Proven experience diagnosing intermittent and mixed electrical-mechanical failures.
• Proficiency with reliability statistics and life data analysis (Weibull, ALT).
• Strong cross-functional communication and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute reliability/test plans for cable assemblies.
• Lead complex failure analyses (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• Build life/reliability models (Weibull, Arrhenius, Coffin-Manson).
• Analyze FRACAS, RMA, deployment data for systemic risks.
• Author reliability reports and launch readiness documents.
