Job summary

Commercial Metals (CMC) is seeking a technically skilled maintenance/engineering professional to support plant equipment, improve process efficiency, and uphold safety standards across our facilities. You may operate cranes, run manufacturing equipment or troubleshoot technical obstacles with strong team support.

The role emphasizes root cause analysis, preventative maintenance, and leading projects from design through startup, including training.

Qualifications

  • Practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints and diagrams.
  • Ability to lead a project from design through installation and start up, including training.
  • Team building and supervisory skills leading project teams and supervising technical and non-technical personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support regarding plant equipment, process efficiency, and plant wide safety.
  • Provide technical assistance in engineering, preventative and predictive maintenance, and reliability engineering.
  • Perform root cause analysis and root cause failure analysis.
  • Experience with manufacturing or industrial-scale capital projects.
  • Track and report maintenance KPIs month to month (delay percentage, PM compliance, cost).
  • Research new operational support technologies, tools, techniques and industry trends that may impact the organization.
  • Update existing plant and maintenance equipment records and processes.

What You'll Do

Your Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in a technical field OR 10 years of Industrial Maintenance/Engineering work experience
