Job summary

Engtal partners with a leading manufacturer seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer in Franklin Park, IL to focus on product reliability, testing, and validation, ensuring performance and lifecycle targets are met before customers.

You will collaborate with R&D, Mechanical Engineering and Product Development to improve designs, execute ALT/HALT programs, conduct Weibull analyses, and drive FMEA-driven improvements across highly engineered products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering, ideally within product development.
• Strong mechanical engineering background with hands-on product testing experience.
• Experience with ALT, HALT, and product lifecycle testing.
• Knowledge of Weibull analysis, MTBF/MTTF, FMEA, and statistical reliability methods.
• Experience identifying product failures and implementing design improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product reliability testing and validation programs.
• Design and conduct Accelerated Life Testing (ALT) and Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT).
• Predict product lifespan and performance using statistical reliability analysis.
• Perform failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and FMEA.

• Establish reliability targets, testing requirements, and validation criteria.
• Support ISO/IAPMO laboratory certification and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are partnering with a leading manufacturer of innovative, highly engineered products seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join their team in Franklin Park, IL.

This position focuses on product reliability, testing, and validation, ensuring products meet performance and lifecycle expectations before reaching customers. You will work closely with R&D, Mechanical Engineering, and Product Development teams to improve product design, identify potential failures, and enhance long-term reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
