Zapnix LLC in California seeks a focused Reliability Engineer to strengthen R&D quality programs for instruments. You will lead design reviews, guide NPI reliability planning, and ensure compliance with GMP/QSR standards through robust testing and documentation.

The role requires hands-on LabView/Python/R skills, experience with automated tests, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to transfer products from R&D to manufacturing. Excellent technical reporting in English is essential.

Formación

• ≥4 yrs with BS Degree or two years with MS Degree.
• ≥4 yrs in R&D with primary focus on new product reliability and quality engineering activities.
• Familiar with GMP/QSR regulations.
• Some knowledge with embedded systems, CAN bus and ethernet.
• Practical experience in test automation and programming SW such as LabView, Python and R.
• 1-2 years of experience executing process/product validation and transferring products to manufacturing.

Responsabilidades

• Implements/enhances state-of-the-art quality and reliability systems/programs to support R&D objectives relating to instruments.
• Reviews/critiques product designs, proposed processes, and testing regimens ensuring reliability, quality, and compliance in NPI.
• Collaborates with NPI teams to identify and execute pre-verification characterization testing for product improvement.
• Plans/develops/executes automated test scripts, LabView programs, robotic programs, HALT/ALT, environmental, life testing and PCBA stress screening.
• Ensures timely completion of testing with feedback to development for design enhancements.
• Uses statistics, tolerancing/simulation, and reliability assessment to support NPI DfR objectives.
• Works with technical transfer to ensure corrective actions for production issues in NPI.
• Prepares DHF verifications and validations that are compliant and well-documented.

• Implements/enhances state-of-the-art quality and reliability systems/programs to support R&D objectives relating to instruments.
• Reviews/critiques product designs, proposed processes, and testing regimens ensuring a rigorous focus on reliability, quality, and compliance throughout NPI.
• Collaborates with NPI teams in identifying and executing key pre-verification characterization testing and other activities necessary for continuous product improvement and robustness enhancement.
• Plans/develops/executes automated test scripts, Labview programs, robotic programs, HALT, ALT, environmental, transportation, life testing, PCBA stress screening, engineering tests and/or V&V to ensure timely and efficacious completion of R&D development projects within budgetary and resource constraints.
• Ensures timely completion of testing with continuous feedback to development team for ongoing design enhancements.
• Uses analytical skills in statistical analysis, tolerancing/simulation, measurement science, stress testing, reliability assessment, simulation, and design critique as appropriate to support NPI DfR objectives.
• Works with technical transfer functions to ensure timely corrective actions of design, assembly, supplier, or other production issues encountered during NPI.
• Works with project teams to produce DHF reports, verifications and validations are compliant, documented, and grounded in solid science.

Skills:

• ≥4 yrs with BS Degree or two years with a MS Degree.
• Must include at least 4 yrs in R&D with primary focus on new product reliability and quality engineering activities.
• Proven experience in the application of reliability engineering, including:
• Some familiarity required in applying basic statistical methods.
• Must be familiar with GMP/QSR regulations.
• Some knowledge with embedded systems, communication protocols for CAN bus and ethernet.
• Practical experience in test automation and programming SW such as LabView, Python and R.
• Some experience required in fixturing, lab testing methods and/or equipment validation.
• Proven strong learning agility required.
• 1-2 years of experience in executing process/product validation, transfer of products from R&D into manufacturing, and working on multidisciplinary teams that include all functions in the manufacturing environment.
• Proven knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or optical design principles.

Education:

• BSc. in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical)
• MS and ASQ Certifications in Quality Engineering and Reliability Engineering strongly preferred.
• Fluent in English, proficient in preparing detailed technical reports and interim presentations of results.
