Job summary

Ascendion is hiring a Release Manager to own release strategy for enterprise software projects. You will oversee CI/CD pipelines, coordinate with development and QA teams, and drive continuous improvement in deployment processes across Dev, SIT, Staging, and Production.

The role emphasizes building a capable release engineering team, communicating schedules to stakeholders, and promoting best practices in release management within a collaborative engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third-party applications, or operating system updates.
• Work with the Development and QA teams to improve the CI/CD pipeline and its integrations with code repositories, unit tests, integration and functional tests, static code analysis, SAST and DAST, build automation, container packaging, automated deployment of the applications in Dev, SIT, Staging, and Production.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• 5+ years of previous release and/or project management experience.
• Solid understanding of project management principles preferred.
• 5+ years of team and people management experience with groups no smaller than 5 engineers.
• Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Git, Azure, or Jenkins or any other CI/CD Tools.
• Experience producing deployments, run books, and implementation plans.
• Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills are a must.

• Adopt best practices and work with Engineering leadership to evangelize release management best practices and promote a creative and collaborative work environment.

Location : Dallas TX (Hybrid)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The hourly ratefor this position is between $120,000- $140,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
