Akkodis is seeking a Release Manager (SAFe RTE) in Chandler, AZ. The role focuses on end-to-end governance of the Internal Cloud Platform release lifecycle, coordinating changes across multiple teams and ensuring safe, predictable production promotions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in release management for enterprise infrastructure, with hands-on Jira/SAFe tooling experience and strong CI/CD knowledge. This is a hybrid role with onsite presence three days per week in Chandler, AZ.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience managing release lifecycles for enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or shared services.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, SAFe tooling, and release tracking to manage large backlogs.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), and safe production promotions.
• Experience operating in regulated environments with mandatory change controls and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Governance of the Internal Cloud Platform release lifecycle end to end, including planning, coordination, execution and production promotion.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage release calendars, readiness criteria, and change windows.
• Coordinate release dependencies across engineering, operations, security, and product teams.
• Integrate CI/CD outputs and automation workflows into controlled production releases.

Job Title: Release Manager (SAFe RTE)

Location: Chandler, AZ

Pay: $70-$75\hr(The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Contract 1 Year with possible extension

Hybrid 3 days onsite a week

Responsible for end to end governance of the Internal Cloud Platform release lifecycle, including planning, coordination, execution, and production promotion of infrastructure and platform changes. Accountable for managing release dependencies across engineering, operations, security, and product teams, ensuring changes are introduced safely, predictably, and with minimal risk to platform stability. Owns release standards, cadence, and readiness criteria to support consistent delivery at enterprise scale. Task level responsibilities include managing release calendars, enforcing readiness criteria, coordinating change windows, and integrating CI/CD pipeline outputs and automation workflows into controlled production releases.

Required Qualifications:

- 3-5 years of experience managing release lifecycles for enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or shared services.

- Demonstrated expertise in release management, change management, and dependency coordination across complex, multiteam environments.

- Hands on experience using Jira, Agile / SAFe tooling, and release tracking mechanisms to manage large delivery backlogs.

Strong working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), and how automated changes are safely promoted into production.

Proven experience operating within regulated environments, where platform stability, auditability, and change controls are mandatory.

Desired Qualifications:

- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), ITIL Change Management, or equivalent certification.

- 5-7+ years supporting infrastructure or cloud platform releases at enterprise scale.

- Experience releasing VMware based platforms, internal clouds, or hybrid cloud environments.

- Demonstrated ability to define release standards, readiness criteria, and governance frameworks for shared platforms.

- Financial services or similarly regulated industry experience.
