Job summary

Socket.dev is hiring for a DevOps/Release Engineer to develop automation for build and deployment pipelines, monitor and resolve build failures, and continuously improve release processes.

The role requires strong CI/CD experience, coding skills in Python/Java/Kotlin, and solid Linux troubleshooting ability. You will participate in code reviews and coordinate with QA, development, and release teams to meet SLA targets and deliver high-quality software releases.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with Git and GitHub, using the Git-flow process to manage code changes across different branches
• Practical experience working with CI/CD pipelines using tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, or others
• Strong coding skills in Python, Java, or Kotlin, including proper code testing
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to systematically root cause issues, using Linux level tools, logging, and metrics
• Proactive and persistent in reaching closure on a given task or challenge
• Ability to manage changing priorities and tasks on a daily basis
• Ability to articulate and communicate issues to partners (QA teams, Developers, Build and Integration teams) and leadership
• BS CS or equivalent experience
