Job summary

Beowulf Electricity and Data is seeking a Relay Technician to safeguard critical electrical infrastructure and support two on-site substations and a high‑performance AI campus. You will test, troubleshoot, and maintain protection relays, CTs/PTs, and control wiring while coordinating outages and commissioning tasks.

The role requires 3–7 years in protection, familiarity with protection schemes and protective relay platforms, and strong documentation skills for incident reports and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in a relay or protection role.
• Working knowledge of protective relay systems and substation protection schemes.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams, protection schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Proven ability to diagnose complex electrical issues and implement fixes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Testing, calibration, commissioning, and maintenance of protective relays and control circuits.
• Analyze relay events, data, alarms, and faults to identify root causes.
• Assist with maintenance, outages, switching, and commissioning at substations.
• Test protection schemes and wiring to ensure proper coordination.
• Respond to abnormalities and support restoration efforts.
• Maintain detailed test reports, maintenance records, and compliance.
