Job summary
Electric Power Systems is seeking a Relay Technician II to join our team in testing, commissioning, and maintaining protection and control systems. You will work with Senior Technicians and Engineers to develop expertise in relay protection schemes and advanced testing practices, supporting project execution through testing, troubleshooting, and reporting.
Ideal candidates will have hands-on relay experience, strong safety commitment, and good communication skills.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with protective relays in transmission, generation, or distribution substations.
- Ability to read one-line/three-line diagrams and protection schematics.
- Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Perform relay testing, commissioning, and maintenance with supervision from senior technicians.
- Develop testing and isolation plans for safe, efficient work execution.
- Create detailed reports and calibration documentation of test results.
- Analyze relay operations and event data to troubleshoot issues.
- Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure alignment.
