Job summary

TFI Family Services, Inc. is seeking a Full-time Relative-Kinship Worker in Kansas to support children and kinship caregivers.

A bachelor’s degree in child and family services and at least two years of relevant experience are required, with on‑the‑job training provided to cover the rest of the role. The position emphasizes promotion of well‑being, training in relationship skills, and collaboration with local resources.

Responsibilities

• Promote the well-being of children and support kinship families.

• Coordinate community resources for the children served.

We are looking for a full-time Relative-Kinship Worker to add to our KS Permanency / KS Case Management Department! All you need is a bachelor’s degree in child and family services field with at least two years’ experience in child and family services.

A Day in The Life as a Relative-Kinship-ICPC Worker

As a Relative-Kinship Worker, you will work to promote the well-being of children. Relative Kinship Workers teach skills such as emotional regulation, having healthy relationships, conflict resolution, and healthy communication within families. Relative-Kinship Workers work together with our relative-kinship caregivers to help train and support them and the children in their home. Relative-Kinship Workers help to facilitate kinship meetings and to identify potential kinship and/or relative placement options. Relative-Kinship Workers provide on-call support to caregivers and crisis intervention, as needed. As a Relative-Kinship Worker, you would also coordinate community resources for the children served.
