Job summary

Norway Savings Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer at our North Conway, NH location. You will build trusted relationships with local businesses, underwrite loan requests, and deliver customized lending solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance and portfolio growth.

You will leverage community connections to grow a diverse client base, manage risk, and participate in lending decisions with the Loan Committee as needed.

Qualifications

• College degree with emphasis in business or accounting.
• Solid foundation in credit skills, finance and accounting.
• Strong business development abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Interviews commercial loan applicants and evaluates viability for underwriting.
• Evaluates credit analyses considering customer needs and regulatory factors.
• Determines loan decisions within lending authority or presents to Loan Committee/Board.
• Negotiates loan terms and prepares renewals/extensions of notes.
• Maintains portfolio credit quality and initiates collection efforts when needed.
• Engages in cross-selling and represents the bank at community events.
• Ensures compliance with bank policies and standard loan documentation.
• Provides input on credit quality and supports related committees.
