Job summary

UMB Financial Corporation is seeking a Personal Banker to cultivate customer relationships, recommend and sell banking products, and drive cross-sell opportunities within our branch network. You will receive extensive product training and mentorship from UMB leaders to help customers achieve financial well-being.

You will engage customers with personalized questions, build workplace banking opportunities, and maintain high standards of service while meeting regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a retail environment engaging with customers and making product recommendations that lead to sales or relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
• If applicable, familiarity with basic banking processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Asking personalized questions to convert transactions and service requests into cross-sell conversations.
• Call leads, visit businesses to offer workplace banking, and develop referral networks.
• Achieve daily key performance metrics while balancing priorities.
• Learn banking processes like transactions, cash handling, and documentation in compliance with standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
