Job summary

UMB Bank is seeking a Personal Banker to build customer relationships and recommend financial solutions. You will learn UMB’s products and services, work to grow your book of business, and deliver an outstanding customer experience across branches in a dynamic sales environment.

Qualifications include hs diploma, 2 years banking sales experience, ability to obtain NMLS within 90 days, and strong communication and math skills. Weekend/evening hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of retail banking sales experience or relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain an NMLS registration within 90 days.
• Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately.
• Basic math skills and problem-solving within risk parameters.
• Proven ability to build relationships and educate customers.

Responsibilities

• Ask personalized questions to convert interactions into learning about customers' financial goals.
• Create and manage a loan pipeline with strong closing conversions across multiple loan types.
• Grow customer base through networking, conversations, business development and referrals.
• Learn banking processes and complete documentation per industry standards.
• Strive to meet daily KPIs while delivering exceptional customer experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
