Job summary

Trustmark is seeking a Relationship Banker to identify customer needs and match bank products. The role involves proactive sales, servicing customers, and processing a range of cash and non-cash transactions.

The position requires traveling between assigned branch locations and ongoing opportunities for permanent placement. The candidate will coach team members, review transactions, originate consumer loans, and drive deposits, loan, and insurance product cross-sells while maintaining Trustmark

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of face-to-face customer service or retail sales experience.
• Ability to learn lending guidelines and process loans within 2 years.
• Must register with NMLS.
• Strong customer service and math skills.
• Able to meet sales goals in a retail environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems.
• Demonstrates professional appearance and communication.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor Relationship Bankers and Tellers.
• Oversee and approve transactions including deposits, withdrawals, money orders, and official checks.
• Manage cash shipment and vault for a branch.
• Originate consumer loans.
• Identify customer needs and make referrals.
• Sell and cross-sell deposits, loans, insurance, and cash management services.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience per Trustmark standards.
• Safeguard bank assets and process transactions accurately.
• Balance cash drawer daily and align with documentation.
• Achieve sales and referral goals quarterly and convert service to sales.
• Make outreach calls to customers/prospects.
• Travel between branch locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
