Qualifications

• 2 years of face-to-face customer service or retail sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding goals.
• Able to learn Trustmark consumer and/or mortgage lending guidelines and process loans within 2 years of employment.
• Be able to register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).
• Able to handle routine transactions and balance a cash drawer; strong math skills.
• Exceptional customer service with ability to learn and explain Trustmark products.
• Pass tests related to customer service and math skills.
• Able to meet sales goals in a retail environment.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn internal systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; good time management and professionalism.
• Prior supervisory experience and loan processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and make referrals through proactive sales/service efforts.
• Service, sell, and cross-sell deposits, loans, insurance, and cash management products.
• Safeguard assets while accurately processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments.
• Maintain and balance a cash drawer; perform abundant cash handling.
• Open, close, and maintain accounts.
• Meet sales and referral goals quarterly with customer service excellence.
• Make outreach calls to customers and prospects.
• Greet the public professionally to uphold Trustmark standards.
• Possibly train/co-mentor other bankers and tellers; assist scheduling and meetings.
• Review/approve transactions and handle cash drawer oversight.
