Job summary

Trustmark Bank seeks a Relationship Banker in Mississippi to identify customer needs and match them with bank products. You will deepen relationships by proactively selling and referring across deposits, loans, insurance, and cash management services, while handling cash transactions accurately.

You will deliver an exceptional customer experience, balance cash drawers, and meet quarterly sales/referral goals. Prior banking experience and NMLS registration support success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of face-to-face customer service or retail sales experience.
• Ability to register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).
• Able to use basic math concepts and balance cash drawer.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with banking products and cross-selling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and make referrals through proactive sales/service efforts.
• Service, sell, and cross-sell deposit accounts, loan products, insurance, cash management, etc.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience following Trustmark's service standards.
• Safeguard bank assets and process transactions accurately (deposits/withdrawals, wires, items).
• Balance cash drawer daily and ensure documents are properly executed.
• Achieve sales and referral goals quarterly while transforming service into sales.
• Make outreach calls to customers and prospects.
• Coach and mentor Relationship Bankers and Tellers.
• Review/approve transactions including night drop logs, ATM deposits, and more.
