Job summary

Extraco Banks in Temple, Texas is seeking a Relationship Banker to establish and nurture customer relationships, open and manage accounts, and drive business growth through referrals to mortgage, wealth management and insurance.

This role places you at the face of the bank, delivering exceptional service, handling cash and transactions, and leveraging digital banking tools to meet customer needs while contributing to branch performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 4 year degree strongly preferred.
• 3 years of cash handling experience strongly preferred.
• 2 years retail banking experience strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of customer service or sales experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with customers.
• Safely and accurately handle cash, coins, and negotiable instruments, following established cash-handling procedures, while simultaneously accurately processing a wide range of banking or teller transactions including deposits and withdrawals, adhering to established procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Open and service various types of checking and savings accounts, utilizing tools and resources to document all services completed on our customers’ accounts.
• Hold conversations with customers to understand their current and future financial needs to identify opportunities to make product recommendations.
• Provide exceptional service through our SWARM Banking approach, which involves greeting customers by name and greeting them as they walk into our lobbies.
• Help build the business by contributing toward monthly sales and service metrics.
• Refer customers to specialized departments such as mortgage, wealth management and insurance.
• Onboard our new customers through our follow-up routines to ensure the customer’s successful use of our products.
• Utilize technology to educate customers on our full range of digital banking including but not limited to virtual tellers, our mobile app and safe online banking habits. Be a point of contact for customers facing technical issues/difficulties with our digital banking tools.
