Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of proven retail sales, call center, customer service or telesales experience.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma/GED and at least 1 year of proven proactive sales experience.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Well-organized with time management and prioritization abilities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial services products.
• Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy with internal and external customers.
• Proficient with internet user-level technology.
• Bilingual based on branch needs (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Play key role in relationship management, sales process and risk management including KYC/CIP.
• Complete basic research on customer profiles to assess value and transition to needs-based discussions.
• Identify financial needs and present appropriate product/service options with internal partners.
• Proactively reach out to clients via email or phone to educate on value-added products/services.
• Onboard new customers through outreach and onboarding processes.
• Establish trust with existing clients through proactive outreach.
• Schedule and hold weekly appointments.
• Prepare for scheduled appointments with pre-call plans.
• Perform customer servicing interactions.
• Adhere to compliance and risk controls.
• Promote M&T Bank brand and inclusive workplace.
• Maintain internal controls and respond to audit findings.
• Complete other related duties.
• Meet and maintain Federal SAFE Act registration requirements.
