Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of proven retail sales, call center, customer service or telesales experience OR a high school diploma or GED with 1 year of proven proactive sales experience.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well-organized with time management and prioritization abilities.
• Demonstrated financial services product knowledge and ability to discuss options with customers.
• Proficient with internet-based tools and technology.

Responsibilities

• Identify sales opportunities through relationship management and outbound calling.
• Present banking products and services based on customer needs.
• Onboard new customers through outreach and referrals.
• Schedule appointments and prepare for meetings with pre-call planning.
• Follow up with clients and educate on value-added products/services.
• Adhere to compliance and risk controls (KYC/CIP) and promote the M&T Bank brand.
